Today was a pretty slow day. I spent most of the day kicking back in the MVP room talking to the MVPs and the Microsoft folks. I did make it to a couple of sessions however.
I did hit a session about the changes in SQL Server Full Text search. It was interesting to see the documentation about what was changed, but it would have been a better session if there were some before and after demos.
I finished the day with Kevin Kline’s session. Its billed as a 300 level session, but Kevin’s a good friend and his sessions are always good no matter the level. He started with a couple of SQL based Yo-Mammy jokes (I’ll let him post them on his blog at some point, or you’ll just have to get to one of his sessions).
If you didn’t make it to the PASS Summit this year, hopefully you’ll be able to make it next year. The PASS Summit is a great show for everyone no matter how much you may now about SQL Server. There are sessions here for everyone from pretty basic sessions to some of the most advanced SQL Server sessions that you will ever find (Bob Ward this means yours).
It was great to be able to meet with all the other MVPs who I’ve been talking to online for a while now (some of them for years). I was amazed that so many knew me from my articles which they had seen online.
